Vignoble du Château de Minière à Bourgueil

Château de Minière

At Château de Minière, the vines flourish on two great Bourgueil terroirs: the tuffeau slopes, with a clay-limestone dominance, from which the featured vintages originate, and the sandy soils near the Loire, producing lighter wines.
The estate covers 36 hectares, only half of which is planted, with the other half preserved to nourish biodiversity. The precise and respectful soil cultivation encourages microbial life, while treatments follow an approach close to biodynamics.
The vineyard is renewed through massal selection from centenarian vines. Under the impetus of Kathleen Van den Berghe, Master of Wine, the estate seeks excellence and the pure expression of its terroirs, revealed in the three single-plot vintages offered.
