Coteaux du Giennois

Coteaux du Giennois

The Coteaux du Giennois vineyard stretches over two distinct sectors, separated by the Cosne fault.
To the north, around Briare and Gien, the clay-siliceous soils, punctuated by rare limestone outcrops, contrast with the south, near Cosne, where the vines rest on Kimmeridgian and Oxfordian limestones, with some siliceous deposits.
This diversity of terroirs is reflected in wines with varied profiles: Sauvignon yields fresh and aromatic whites, while Pinot Noir and Gamay produce supple, fruity reds and rosés
