Domaine Bernard Baudry - Pépite de Loire

Bernard Baudry Estate

Arriving in Cravant-les-Coteaux from Chinon, one discovers a village whose name means "chalky place," a reflection of its stony terroir.
It accounts for 40% of the Chinon appellation and possesses renowned soils, bordering the national forest. Bernard Baudry farms 30 hectares there, entirely converted to organic, working primarily with Cabernet Franc but also Chenin for his white wines.
His goal is to express the elegance, purity, and freshness inherent to each terroir. The gravelly terraces produce supple, fruity wines, while the clay-limestone hillsides provide structure and depth.
