At the head of the family estate since 1990, Dominique Joseph, known as Pélo, represents the 4th generation of winemakers.
The estate spans 12 hectares spread around the village of Varrains in the heart of the Saumur Champigny appellation.
The vines, aged between 30 and 80 years old, are harvested by hand to ensure that only quality grapes are kept. The winemaker's work with Cabernet Franc makes it possible to produce subtle, fruit-forward wines.
The estate is now certified organic.
