Acquired in 2001 by Odile and Jean-Max Manceau, Domaine de Noiré consists of a 14-hectare vineyard in the Chinon AOC. The president of the Chinon wine growers' union, accompanied by Olivier, a long-time companion, tends to the vines and seeks to restore the vineyard to its original renown. Indeed, back when Chinon vintages were classified, long before the appellation was officially recognized, Domaine de Noiré was ranked among the top slopes.

Serving the wine industry for more than three generations, a passion for the vine guides the daily work of these winemakers. Out of respect for the environment and the conviction that it must be protected, the estate has now converted to organic farming.
