Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil
The Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil appellation flourishes in the eponymous commune, on the borders of Touraine and Anjou, on the high terraces and mid-slopes of the right bank of the Loire.
The dominant Cabernet Franc is sometimes complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon (10% maximum).
The soils, sandy-gravelly on a clay base, punctuated by clay-limestone slopes, favor vibrant and indulgent red wines with radiant aromas of raspberry, cherry and flowers, which combine freshness and character, elegantly reflecting the unique terroir of Saint-Nicolas.
