Le Cabernet Franc règne dans les vignes de Saumur Champigny

Saumur Champigny

A natural extension of the Touraine vineyards, the Saumur vineyards are established on tuffeau chalk soils. The Saumur Champigny appellation highlights the Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties, but also Pineau d'Aunis, also known as Chenin Noir, the oldest grape variety in the Loire.
The red wines produced are full-bodied and possess finesse, with some vintages having good long-aging potential.
