For more than 40 years, Jean-Pierre Chevallier has been the demanding and passionate guardian of the treasures of Château de Villeneuve. Built in the 18th century from tuffeau stone, the Château is surrounded by 25 hectares of vines on predominantly limestone soils.
Every effort is made to give the plant its natural balance.
Converted to biodynamics, the estate produces a lovely, racy dry Chenin and an elegant range of red wines that give pride of place to the fruit. Undeniably, this estate is among the elite of the Saumur and Saumur-Champigny appellations.
