Terroir

The Romorantin grape variety was introduced to the Loir-et-Cher by Francis I in 1517. It is one of the rarest grape varieties on the planet, with only 70 hectares planted worldwide, primarily in the vicinity of the Château de Chambord. The soils are essentially clay-siliceous.

Harvest

Manual.

Winemaking

Natural winemaking, with no added yeasts or enzymes, to allow for maximum expression of the terroir, with minimal and controlled use of SO2.
