Terroir

The quintessential dream exposure on the hillside above the village of Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil. This is the estate’s historic cru, demanding, yet possessing a unique generosity. Ocher, clay soil over a vein of Senonian limestone. 60-year-old vines.

Harvest

Hand-picked with grape sorting.

Winemaking

Alcoholic fermentation in truncated conical wooden vats, with a 4-week maceration/infusion.
Aging for 14 months (78% in 450 L barrels, 22% in stoneware jars).
