Terroir

The dream exposure par excellence on the hillside above the village of Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil. This is the estate's historic vintage; demanding, yet uniquely generous. Ochre, clay soil over a vein of Senonian limestone. 60-year-old vines.

Harvest

Hand-harvested in crates. Double sorting of the grapes with destemming.

Winemaking

Natural fermentation in oak vats with pigeage by foot. Degree and acidity are not corrected. 4-week maceration.
12-month aging in amphora.
