Terroir

90-110-year-old vines on the limestone and clay-sandy soils of the Bourgueil hillsides facing south, between the forest plateau and the Loire terraces.

Harvest

Grapes from century-old vines are harvested by hand across all the old vine plots on the estate. The harvest is transported in small crates to the winemaking cellar. The grapes are destemmed by hand.

Winemaking

Gravity-fed vatting of whole berries in wooden vats. Gentle extraction via pigeage (punching down) and remontage (pumping over). 3-week maceration.
12-month aging in amphorae.
